ANGEL GATE PREVIEWS SEVEN UPCOMING TITLES FOR 2005, AND ONE NEW ARTIST!

July 7, 2004 – Los Angeles, California – Angel Gate and its creators have been hard at work, preparing for their newest releases; featuring the return of ISIS, and a major crossover event that brings the ladies of Angel Gate together to save one of their own!

“I’ve been a part of many of these titles, and I’ll be really anxious to finally see them on the shelves,” said Angel Gate writer, Ryan Scott Ottney. “We’ve put a lot of work into these books, and I think they’re going to be a lot of fun to read. I’m especially looking forward to THE LEGEND OF ISIS series. I think readers are going to enjoy the story and artwork of that series!”

In addition to the excitement of these new releases, Angel Gate is proud to announce the addition of artist, Nar, to its creative line-up! Nar will assume penciling duties on Angel Gate’s BLACK TIDE series, where veteran penciler Norm Breyfogle has lent his talents for the past six-issues, with series creator/writer, Debbie Bishop.

Nar will begin with BLACK TIDE #10, in stores July 14, before taking over full-issue chores starting on BLACK TIDE #11, available in August 2004.

“BLACK TIDE "Black Tide looks to be a huge challenge on my part since I've never really drawn a book of this genre before.” said Nar. “I was also very much drawn to the love story in Black Tide because at the time, I felt I was going through something similar. I'm used to working on stuff with monsters, demons, aliens, and just your common buffed out superheroes with angry faces. This is a whole new direction I was willing to take so I may hopefully become a more versatile artist. Black Tide has many things that drew my attention aside from the love story and action sequences. And that is, the use of scientific facts within the fantasy-like machinery and gadgets used in the book. Debbie incorporates fiction and realism, making it not only much more powerful and convincing, but also very, very interesting to get into. In short, this book is very down to earth, but with a nice touch of extraordinary to it. I will definitely be enjoying my stay here."

The artists’ first run at the characters begins with an extra long 29 page episode that reveals secrets in this adventure of a Black Ops team with ties to Atlantis, and begins the intriguing climax to this story arc by series creator/writer, Debbie Bishop. Black Tide #10 is an excellent issue for new readers to jump in and follow the action!
